The first Saudi Conference for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was held in the capital, Riyadh, from 13 to 16 April 2018, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, with the participation of more than fifty local and international speakers, to talk about the latest developments in plastic surgery and explore the results of studies around the region and the world in general.
The general president of the conference, Dr. Jamal Jumaa, president of the American College of Surgeons in the Kingdom, spoke that plastic, reconstructive and reconstructive surgery has become of great importance, and research and treatment methods have advanced significantly in the last decade, and distinguished by their medical cadres in this field, noting that this conference is the first of its kind in The kingdomIn partnership with the International Society of Plastic Surgery, based in the United States of America, adding: The heads of plastic surgery societies from Canada, Norway, Romania and Turkey, in addition to the Arab Gulf countries, Jordan and Egypt, and many international professors from Canada, America and Europe, and many Saudi professors, both from universities, will participate in the conference. Or from distinguished consultants, specialists and new doctors, as well as from Saudi resident doctors.
For his part, Consultant Plastic Surgery, President of the International Society of Plastic Surgery in the Kingdom, and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Fouad Hashem, added that the aim of holding this conference is to be a link between all parties of the plastic and reconstructive system, led by the plastic surgeon. Enriching the cosmetic and reconstructive medical content, following up on scientific research and technology, highlighting the role of the Saudi doctor and his active participation, taking care of resident doctors, training them and developing their surgical skills, especially that the Kingdom is a pioneer and advanced player in cosmetic medicine and in the field of effective medical conferences.
